Bride Jocelyn has a smile that lights up a room, and for her Charleston wedding to Tim she had the dress, shoes and flowers to match! The couple hosted their October affair at the Historic Hibernian Hall in Downtown Charleston, South Carolina where both of their families have been members of the Irish society since the 1930’s. Jocelyn’s parents even hosted their reception at the historic landmark. Jocelyn wore a strapless, tea-length tulle gown with a sweetheart neckline and carried a sassy bouquet from Branch Design Studio of succulents, ranunculus and peonies that she paired with emerald green heels. After prepping with her six bridesmaids, each of whom wore their choice of festive gold dress, at The Mills House Hotel, Jocelyn met Tim in Philadelphia Alley for an intimate first look. Pre-ceremony pictures continued in the Holy City with the bridal party in tow before heading back to the Hibernian for their indoor ceremony. Their nuptials took place on the first floor of the Hall where a close friend presided over the ceremony.
A surprise appearance by the Plantation Singers welcomed guests upstairs to the main ballroom as cocktail hour began. Here, the ladies of Mingle designed a rustic-inspired reception anchored by a four-side bar in the middle of the ballroom. Smaller tables were draped with grey linens and topped with colorful arrangements, while long farm tables were decorated with mercury glass votives and natural centerpieces of branches and succulents. Each table was flanked with Natural X-back Farm Chairs from Snyder Events. String lights were woven throughout the reception by Technical Event Group to add to the overall charm. Guest dined on Lowcountry cuisine from Brick Lane Catering, mini sweets from Gala Dessert and crafty cocktails from Squeeze On Site. As soon as Charleston Groove Factory took the stage, guests packed the dance floor for what looked to be one heckuva Charleston wedding! Thanks to amelia + dan photography for capturing their charming Hibernian Hall affair.
