Y'all, today is Friday and I couldn't be more excited.  We have been doused with some truly amazing Lowcountry weddings over the past few weeks and area slowly wading through them as we carefully select a handful to appear in the pages of our first print publication.  These beauties hail from Savannah, Hilton Head, Charleston and Myrtle Beach and are bound to give you one helluva a swoon-attack.  We'll be notifying the Brides and Vendors over the next week, so keep an eye out for a special email.   In the meantime, we're finishing off the week with a lovely bridal portrait session from Southern Wedding photographer, MelissaJoy Photography.  Bride Bebe rocked her stunning strapless gown and bright red lipstick as she enjoyed the company of two majestic horses.  We love her flowing curls, flannel shirt and cozy shrug!

550 Trackside Wedding by Amy Arrington Photography {Emma + Eric}

My sister, Emma, got married this past October, and it was everything we all thought it would be!  A little crazy, a lot of pretty and a helluva a good time!  Emma wore a dress that I'm quite positive was made just for her.  It was strapless with a sweetheart neckline and, of course, had pockets, where we would later find her stashing late-night Taco Bell...just like her brother-in-law!  The bridesmaids wore the Chrysanthemum Tea dress from Anthropologie, which perfectly complemented our bouquets of white anemones.  Eric and his groomsmen donned black tuxedos with rustic, turkey feather boutonnieres.  What started as a calm, relaxing morning, quickly turned into sheer panic as hair appointments took longer than expected, Dad completely forgetting what time he was supposed to get in the shower, and a full-on mad dash to the church just in time for the beautiful Bride to walk down the aisle #thatshowweroll  Surprisingly, everyone made it on time watch Emma, who somehow remained completely calm and collected, and my Dad walked down the aisle.  We enjoyed a touching and entertaining ceremony where Father Sunny (and his memorable accent) pronounced Emma + Eric, husband and wife.  Afterwards, the party made its way to Downtown Lawrenceville for a lively 550 Trackside Wedding!  Luckily for us, Amy Arrington Photography captured plenty of hilarious/embarrassing shots of everyone dancing the night away!  Enjoy!

Congratulations to Emma + Eric!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness, bird-watching, rock-collecting and kitchen-dancing!  Can't wait for some baby hoagies! -Erin + Brian #vog2hog

I've totally been digging everything my lovely friends at Ivory + Beau have been up to.  Savannah's newest bridal boutique currently carries 9 permanent designers but they also love to treat their Lowcountry ladies to fun pop-up shops featuring up-and-coming talents.  But best of all, this talented twosome is nothing short of perfection when it comes to styling a bride, and they've so kindly decided to share their most recent creation captured by our favorite Savannah photographer, Rach Lea Photography, with A Lowcountry Wedding!  Armed with a dreamy, pale pink Vera Wang gown, the creative team whipped up this amazing sequins and peony wedding inspiration that has knocked cute, little wedding socks off!  Give me some sparkle, a jaw dropping peony bouquet and a killer Lowcountry wedding photographer to capture it all, and I'm one happy lady!

Southern Wedding at The Farm at Ridgeway via CM Photography

We're so thrilled that Spring is here and we're finally able to enjoy this lovely weather and the beautiful Lowcountry weddings it will be serving up.  Today, we're sharing a gorgeous Southern wedding that South Carolina vendors, CM Photography and Meagan Warren Weddings, created at the charming Farm at Ridgeway.  Bride Emma wore a ruffled, mermaid-style gown in a dreamy shade of pink!  We're loving all the beautiful rustic details.

Purple & Green Orange Hill Plantation Wedding from Riverland Studios

Amy & Jes were married in the Fall at Orange Hill Plantation in Summerton, South Carolina. This family-owned property was the perfect location for Amy & Jes’s outdoor affair.  The lovely ladies from The Burlap Elephant helped turn the backyard into a lush and colorful ceremony site.  Thanks to Wildflowers Inc, this Orange Hill Plantation wedding covered with vibrant flowers in all different shades of purple and green.  Don't you just love those bouquets and the unique succulent boutonnieres that the guys wore!  Amazing.  They also had a “wish” tree, where they asked guests to write down wishes they had for the couple’s future. Amy & Jes were great sports and ended the night by running in the rain through a romantic sparkler exit, which was the perfect ending to their Lowcountry wedding.  Thanks to Riverland Studios for capturing all the details!

Saint Simons Wedding Engagement {Jessica + Joe}

Every so often we like to hightail it down to the Georgia coast to soak up the sun, the beauty and the adorable couples the Golden Isles have to offer.  What better way to kick off the weekend than to revel in Jessica + Joe’s Saint Simons wedding engagement from our sweet friend, Britt Croft Photography.

From Britt Croft Photography: "St. Simon’s Island, a part of the Golden Isles of Georgia, is one of the most beautiful and charming places I’ve ever been in my life. I feel like it’s Georgia’s best kept secret, but probably just because I didn’t grow up around here and it’s new to me. I absolutely love any excuse to get down that way, so when Jessica emailed me about shooting her and Joe’s wedding there this fall, I was so excited. And then twice as excited when she decided to have their engagement session there, rather than Atlanta where they currently live. No offense to you Atlanta, because you’re fun too, but SSI is incredible!"

"Jessica and Joe were so fun to spend the evening with! Jessica was SO excited, and despite a couple of hiccups in her plans before and during the session, we just rolled along and had a good time :) She and Joe are so funny together…very goofy and themselves, which I love. Jessica wanted to start shooting right in the same area they just said their I Do's, so we rocked out her cute little styled setup, and then took in the sunset along the water."
