Neely & Devon were one of many Lowcountry couples debating their wedding day fate in the midst of the pandemic but decided to power on and host their big day at The Gadsden House despite the current climate. As luck would have it, Charleston began easing their event restrictions just as their wedding date rolled around. Luckily, the duo kept the big picture in mind and remained flexible in the weeks leading up to the May date because a last-minute venue switch to The Gadsden House was crucial to abide by the newly-released guidelines.

Neely stunned in a fitted, lace gown from Allure and relaxed up-do while Devon rocked a blue suit and floral print tie. Side note, Devon was actually sent the wrong color suit but wore it anyway and we’re totally loving how it complemented Neely’s gown. The couple met prior to the ceremony to exchange gifts and hold hands, making sure not to catch a glimpse beforehand, and boy are we glad they did! Because when Devon caught his first glimpse of Neely walking down the aisle, it literally brought tears to our eyes. “That moment is something I will cherish forever,” recalled Devon. The ceremony took place in the courtyard of The Gadsden House where the aisle was lined with beautiful potted ferns by Sweet P General. Arm-and-arm with her father, Neely carried her great grandmother’s handkerchief that both her mother and grandmother carried on their own wedding days. The ceremony concluded just in time for guests to bolt inside as a rainstorm rolled through but it quickly past making way for some frame-able newlywed portraits.
