We're kicking off Monday morning with a dreamy styled shoot at The Borough House Plantation in Stateburg, South Carolina. This historic estate dates back to the 1700's and has a storied past and was once home of Confederate Army General Richard H. Anderson. In the interior of the door frames, you can even find a "C A" where the Confederate Army branded it during the war! This beautiful afternoon took place underneath a massive oak tree where a rustic farm table was covered with a table runner of greenery and gold details. Don't you just love that sunlight! Thanks to Megan Manus Photography for capturing all the pretty!
From Megan Manus Photography: "We wanted to create images that can show potential clients what this plantation can be, and just how incredibly beautiful it is! We wanted a romantic, airy, southern, simple but elegant look for this shoot. The lighting was absolutely gorgeous filtering through the Spanish moss. Live Oaks that are hundreds of years old, covered in Spanish moss. Beautiful, old buildings that are actually made of mud and horse hair- wow! and amazing old barns adorn this property."
From makeup artist Savannah Davis of Mirabella Makeup and N Salon and Spa: "For this styled shoot, We were inspired by a fairytale romance so I wanted to make sure the make up fit into that style. Samantha has beautiful features that I was excited to enhance with natural tones and soft shades. We used all Mirabella for the look, starting with the long lasting, weightless, full coverage foundation, skin tint creme. For the eyes, I went with warm natural shades with a little BoHo twist. Mirabella's Iconic palette was the perfect fit combining bronzy golds with rosy pinks. We enhanced her lashes with individual lashes along with lash luxe mascara and defined her lash line with a soft brown liner. To complete the look, I contoured her face using a soft, warm bronzer and added a flirty touch of pink with a creamy blush right on top of the cheek bones. A soft pink lip was perfect for this makeup design, giving her just enough color on the lips to finish this fairytale look!"
From hair stylist Chelsea Scott of N Salon and Spa: "Samantha has full, strong hair so I wanted to give her a romantic pulled back style for this shoot. I knew soft curls that incorporated a braid would suit the look of this inspiration shoot. I used an exposed braid running from side to side as a starting point for the look. Then I curled and pulled pieces of hair from each side to create a soft, enchanted style."
From cake artist Katie Speed of Katie Belle's Sweet Boutique: "This romantic, old-fashioned sour cream pound cake is a two-tiered wedding cake barely dressed with homemade buttercream frosting, adorned with rustic vines of eucalyptus and fresh cut flowers perfect for any southern bride. This staggering confection is complimented by a classic white cupcake topped with creamy frosting and crowned with a sweet candy sparkle nestled in a festive gold-foil liner."
From floral designer Sarah Skinner of Bloomsbury Floral Design: "Samantha's Bouquet was filled with ranunculus, snowberry, astilbe, Queen Anne's lace, astrantia and scabiosa pods accompanied by a variety of eucalyptus and garden greens hand tied with silk ribbon. The table spray was eucalyptus and garden greens with astrantia and scabiosa pods.
