I’m so excited we get to wrap up the work week with Lucas + Candace’s Middleton Plantation wedding on Edisto Island, South Carolina. I’m telling y’all, it’s heaven! Initially, I feel hard for the mint and peach color palette (it’s one of my favorite color combos) but I quickly fell in love with the adorable couple themselves and Jessi Nichols Photography’s ability to capture every single detail and emotion. What more can I ask for, right? Well, the couple selected an early Spring date, April 2nd to be exact, to tie the knot on Lucas’ family’s Lowcountry Plantation and the weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony. Candace wore a dreamy gown from Allure Bridals and carried a jaw-dropping, garden-style bouquet from Feathered Nest Florist full of peach garden roses, succulents and white blooms. Her maids wore long mint dresses with a sweetheart neckline which allowed their peach bouquets to pop. From Jessi Nichols Photography: "Candace and Lucas Clarkson April 2, 2016 Middleton Plantation, Edisto Island SC Candace and Lucas tied the knot on Lucas’ family’s plantation on Edisto Island. Cotton was incorporated in the subtle details of the boutonnieres and centerpieces, and it is symbolic of the history of the plantation. The plantation was used to grow potatoes, and the family still owns some of the original burlap potato sacks with the name printed on them, making the plantation a family business. The history runs deep at this plantation, as well as low country charm and tradition. Candace and her girls got ready inside gorgeous plantation home, which has recently been updated to highlight the old charm of the house. The vibrant wall paper and classic color palette of the home interiors elegantly flowed with Candace’s color palette of blues, blush, and cream. Lucas and Candace tied the knot under the gorgeous live oaks, and celebrated with their friends and family under a tent right on the water. It’s an old family tradition for the men in the family to throw the groom in the river, and this wedding was no different!"
