Melissa and Eric met in high school and started dating a year later. They soon found that they both loved the water and spent most of their high school years on the lake at Melissa's parent's house. Melissa and Eric continued to date throughout college and their love grew stronger. Melissa was sweetheart of Eric's fraternity and they loved floating down the river in their college town. Graduation brought long distance between the two. After a couple years of the distance, Melissa and Eric chose to move together from Michigan to Charleston, SC to be together. South Carolina was an easy transition for them with the ocean and the beaches. Within 6 months of their move, they even bought a boat! After a year in Charleston, Eric decided to make it official and propose to Melissa at Middleton Place on the Ashley River. It was unforgettable! The two fell in love with Charleston quickly and knew they wanted to get married in their new hometown. It was a must for them to get married at a venue on the water and the Pavilion at Patriots Point was the place for them. Melissa and Eric knew that venue was the one the minute they saw the views! Melissa and Eric's main requirement was that the wedding had to be fun for all so the bright color scheme was chosen to go along with that. Melissa ensured to choose blue for the bridesmaid dresses to incorporate their love for the water. The wood chairs and tables were a great way to keep a casual and coastal vibe for all guests. Their wedding vision truly came to life on that day and symbolized the fun they've had in their relationship and their love for the water. It was everything they imagined and truly the best day of their lives!
