How did your business get started?
In 2015, a wonderful mutual friend of ours introduced us! It took no more than a few minutes for us to begin bonding about everything from our shared love of coffee to our individual event planning experiences. We instantly clicked, so it felt completely natural when we started talking about putting our passion into practice! So, in 2015, we launched our business, Sincerely Yours Events. Our goal was simple: to shake up the wedding industry and provide unbeatable coordination services to the beautiful brides and grooms of the low county! Since then, we have poured our hearts into our business and made it a priority to shower our couples with constant support, to always work as a duo (that’s right – our couples get two coordinators serving them!), and to bring wedding visions to life through personal and masterful day-of coordination!
How did you get started in the event industry?
With over a decade of experience, each of us brings different skill sets to SYE that help make our company unique and successful! SYE offers a team that has collective experience planning corporate events, private parties, and weddings, including both full planning as well as day-of coordination. There really isn’t anything we’re afraid to tackle! All of this experience has allowed us to grow our business into an award winning and industry leading company! We are totally familiar with and LOVE the adrenaline rush that comes along with planning and executing events, and we aim to let our clients know that we understand that they only get one shot with their event, and we promise to knock it out of the park!
What’s your signature style?
At SYE, we believe that it is not about OUR style, it is about OUR CLIENT’S style. We work incredibly hard to turn our client’s dreams into reality - so give us any theme, idea, or concept, no matter how unique, and we’ll work to bring it to life! In terms of our business culture, our style is primarily built around celebrating the amazing process that is planning weddings and getting married! We provide our clients a happy and relaxed atmosphere where they are promised great listeners, hard workers, and incredibly detailed event executors.

SYE offers the full spectrum! We offer e-planning (perfect for couples nationwide), Day/Month-of Coordination, Partial and Full Planning! Our most popular package is Day/Month-of Coordination - we love this space and feel like it provides such a unique opportunity to tailor our services to fit each wedding individually! Just as no single bride or groom is alike, we believe no two weddings are alike! Our couple’s definitely do not have to worry about a “one size fits all” approach!
What’s the best way for a bride to get inspiration for her wedding?
It is beautiful thing and a challenging thing to live in a world where everything is so right in front of us. Every wedding and every pretty element is available for instant “saves” and a Pintrest Board. We encourage our clients to not get too wrapped up in the pretty that is right in front of them, and to not spend time comparing. The inspiration should come from within, and not around. We coach our clients to really take the time to imagine themselves, family, and friends at the wedding. What would they be doing? What would they see? This is where part of the inspiration lies. The other part is in the quiet moments of the day. These sweet moments are the ones that truly last a lifetime and what really sticks with you most. Be inspired by talking to family members about their own weddings, and take note of what was important to them and what they remember most from their day. Infuse the day with YOU, the special quiet moments and family traditions.
What color palette is catching your eyes?
Working around Savannah’s gorgeous green and mossy backdrop provides us no end of stunning color inspiration, but we are loving cornflower blue and berry tones these days! These are such fun pops of color, and really go with any season! We’ve also grown to love how these tones look against Spanish moss and low country hues, and, an amazing bonus, they photograph beautifully! We are loving that color combination and are huge fans of its recent comeback!
What are your brides asking for now?
Brides are asking for fun spins on custom cocktails, cigar rolling stations, custom/unique monograms, fun party favors, and epic exits! Unique receptions, though, is where our brides really focus a lot of their awesome creativity! For example, instead of traditional ice cream, folks are requesting fully decked-out gelato bars and the traditional cup of coffee offered at the end of the night has now transformed into custom coffee drink bars. We’ve even had recent weddings with everything from confetti cannon exits to an amazing visit by the couple’s college mascot – nothing is off limits these days and we LOVE it!
How do you help your couples infuse their personality into their big day?
We truly believe that the love of friends and family helps shape our brides and grooms into the amazing people they are! We coach our clients to really take the time to imagine themselves and their family and friends at their wedding. What would they be doing? What would they see? We have found that this is such an amazing way to reveal the uniqueness in the personalities of each couple. We also strongly encourage our couples to imagine the quiet moments of their wedding day – when the gorgeous bride is getting into her dress, or the groom is hanging out with buddies before the ceremony. These sweet moments are the ones that truly last a lifetime and allow couples to really let their personalities shine. Learn from family members about their own weddings, talk with friends about some of their favorite memories of you as a couple, and focus on the real purpose of the day evident in those quiet moments, and we will guarantee that your day will be full of unique personality!
What trends are you noticing?
We are noticing some older, more traditional trends coming back, which is SO fun! We love seeing receiving lines coming back, as those are the best way to greet your guests at the beginning of the reception! We also love that more and more of our couples choose not to have a First Look! Watching our sweet brides save that big reveal for the big walk down the aisle is such an amazing part of our job. Another cool trend that we are obsessed with – having an artist attend the ceremony or reception and do a live painting of the scene – how cool is that?! Hands down though, the biggest trend we have seen recently is couples doing something different with their exit! We have seen confetti cannons, LED balloons, LED tambourines, lanterns, sparklers, and bubbles that are all made even cooler by the actual exit transportation, like pedicabs, vintage cars, boats! Our couples never cease to amaze us with their originality!
What sets your company apart from your competition?
Firstly, our amazing clients. We don’t know how, but we have been so lucky to work with the most wonderful couples since we launched SYE. We are so grateful to them for trusting us with their wedding day and letting us do what we love! In terms of SYE, we are incredibly unique in that we provide two coordinators, no matter the size or magnitude of the event, for the entire day. We have received the most positive feedback about this particular feature, as it is so much easier for couples and families to relax on the wedding day knowing that there is not only a coordinator with the bride and groom, but also another person working to coordinate vendors and set-up! We also passionately believe at SYE that, on wedding days, we live and breathe for our clients. We approach each wedding with a fervent “all hands on deck” attitude and work hard to ensure that everything that needs to be done, gets done. This means that we 100% own vendor support on the wedding day, which is another incredibly unique feature of SYE! We deal with the details so that clients can focus on nothing but the beauty of the day! Easily, though, our defining feature as a company is our honest love for what we do. We really don’t look at this as a job; we still consider ourselves the same two girls who met and couldn’t stop talking about our favorite weddings and events! And while we definitely take pride in our unique ability to anticipate couple’s needs, deal with any unplanned occurrences, and execute each detail of the day, in the end, we are different from others because we truly want to be there for our couples day-of – it is not just our job! We are endlessly privileged to get to meet and serve so many amazing couples, and we can’t wait to continue doing so!
