One day, when she threw her money into the fountain at Brookgreen Gardens on Pawley's Island, Danny asked what she had wished for. When she turned around to respond, she found Danny on one knee, ready to propose.

After a beautiful ceremony at Saint Michaels Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, Melissa and Danny returned to the stunning grounds of Brookgreen Gardens where Danny proposed to celebrate their wedding day. We had a blast walking around the grounds of Brookgreen Gardens and Litchfield Beach with Melissa, Danny, and their bridal party, and couldn't imagine a more fitting celebration for this super sweet couple."

Brookgreen Gardens Wedding by Paula Player Photography

The lovely Clark Gilmer, a gorgeous Lowcountry gal who you may remember from America's Next Top Model (among many other things!), recently tied the knot in Murrells Inlet at the stunning Brookgreen Gardens and I've been completely obsessed with the venue ever since.  Located just outside of Myrtle Beach, the Gardens offer a gorgeous setting for bridal portraits, rehearsal dinners or a lavish Lowcountry affair.  So, when the talented team at Paula Player Photography sent over Emily & Jason's Brookgreen Gardens Wedding, I literally couldn't wait to share with you all.  Not only is the photography to die for, but the design crew at Stunning & Brilliant Events teamed up with Blossoms Events for an elegant evening in romantic shades of pink that just makes me want to pin every single image!

Y'all, we've got a big week here at A Lowcountry Wedding!  Today, with the help of our friends Scarlet Plan & Design, Dana Cubbage, Alden Haviland and more, we'll be shooting a pretty righteous surprise for A Lowcountry Wedding Magazine.  Tuesday, we'll be hanging out with Chloe of Top Knots & Polka Dots and the ladies of Pink Dot for a fun shoot all about what to pack for your honeymoon.  Needless to say, our instagram will be blowing up, so I highly suggests you head over to catch a few glimpses of all the pretty.  It's gonna be amazing!  We're so pumped to share this Pink Pawleys Island Plantation wedding from JJ Horton Photography.   Carrie + Brendan tied the knot at the quaint  Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC. before kicking it to Pawleys Island Plantation to celebrate. We love bride Carrie's gorgeous, strapless gown and her luscious bouquet and their adorable Southern bridal party.

Rustic Myrtle Beach Wedding at Tilghman-Boyce Cottage

Happy Monday to all my Lowcountry ladies!  We're kicking off the week with Julie + David's rustic Myrtle Beach wedding at the Tilghman-Boyce Cottage in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  You probably remember Julie's lovely Lowcountry bridal session we shared a few months ago.  We fell completely in love with Julie's effortless style, gorgeous gown from David's Bridal and her enviable selection of footwear.  Needless to say her beauty and creativity took center stage for her Spring wedding this past May...and it did not disappoint.  Julie went all out when designing her wedding day and added in countless personal touches.  In signature Lowcountry style, the couple married in a sweet, outdoor ceremony under a majestic oak.   Instead of a traditional guest book, guests were asked to sign a square that the couple would later have made into a quilt.  Each guest was also treated to their very own mason jar to use throughout the night.  Not only did each jar come with a whimsical striped straw, but also an adorable bow tie!  One of the couples first dates was at the ice cream shop in Calabash at the Calabash Creamery, so Julie incorporate a charming ice cream cart complete with all the fixin's as a surprise touch for her guests to enjoy.  Thanks to one of our favorite Myrtle Beach wedding vendors, Carolina Studios by Gillian Reinhardt for a capturing all the pin-able details!

Grande Dunes Ocean Club Wedding by Memorable Moments + Leslie Parrott

This lovely Sunday weather has me daydreaming of long Summer days and ocean views!  Since I can't quite have the long Summer days, I'll settle for gorgeous ocean views, and that's just what Meredith + Rod's Ocean Club at Grande Dunes wedding delivers!  The wonderful crew at Memorable Moments teamed up with a talented group of Myrtle Beach Wedding Vendors for the perfect Lowcountry affair.  Apparently, the weather acted up a bit, but you would never be able to tell from these beautiful images Leslie Parrott Photography captured.  We're obsessing over the perfect coastal color palette of pale pink and navy with touches of burlap!

From Leslie: "Meredith and Rod are a fun couple that are excited to show off their wedding. The details were elegant yet the vibe was laid back allowing for guests to really enjoy themselves. They added personal touches such as in lieu of guest gifts a donation was made to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund (Meredith and her family are from New Jersey). And Rod is from Atlanta so he wanted the southern, relaxed touch of farm tables at the reception. The day unexpectedly ended up being cold and windy so there was a last minute decision to tent the reception. The couple was not able to walk the beach for photos as they had originally planned either. But the day turned out perfect regardless and the photos still have the Myrtle Beach touch to them."
